Creekwood United Methodist Church invites you to discover the joy of belonging to a community of believers, growing in your knowledge and experience of God's love, and serving people in the name of Jesus Christ.
The key components are these...

"Invite" points to the evangelism purpose of the church and sharing the good news of God in Jesus Christ. We invite people to something, and that something is essentially relational (relationships with God and each other).
"Belonging" points to the fellowship purpose of the church. We want people to realize that they have a place to belong. Even though "belonging" is an intangible concept that may be hard for us to capture, we all know what it feels like to belong (or perhaps not to belong). In the church, there's a place for everyone to belong. Everyone has a place because God's love is for all.
"Growing" points to the discipleship purpose of the church. Through Bible studies and other experiences, we grow in our knowledge and understanding of God's love in our lives, of who God is, of who we are, of how God works in our lives to make us more like the people God intended us to be all along.
"Serving" points to the ministry and mission purposes of the church. Ministry is the way that we serve to build up the church, and mission is the way that we serve to make a witness in the world.
The phrase "discover the joy" intends to capture the spirit of what we are doing...the joy and excitement and fun we share together. In one sense, this is the heart of our worship each Sunday. At another level, though, this transcends Sunday morning and touches everything we do.
